More ARDF, tape beam antenna and mods

I’m working on a few projects for my club, one of them is fox hunting (hence the few fox hunt posts over the past couple of months).
Well…… I have a few more to add on to my previous post at http://kb1kix.net/blog/?p=268
The image on the right is a neat and very well thought out idea from G3ZOI. He has a full article based on the antenna on the right. The neat thing about seeing what others have done, you find that there are actually quite a few varying ways to make a similar antenna.
The G3ZOI beam project and other ARDF projects can be found here:

WB2HOL has been mentioned before in my original post about the tape measure beam. He also has a few neat projects on his site (like simple and not so simple attenuators). I’ve always thought bulkhead/barrel connectors were like dummy loads, but sheesh! Check out those projects and more at:

Doug (call???) has some great information and mods on his site. He has plenty of tips, I like the “rounding” of the edges of the elements myself so you don’t need electrical tape.

There’s plenty of stuff out there. If you know of any good links, pass ‘em along in a comment below. I still haven’t found a tape measure Arrow style antenna, so I’m gonna build one and let ya’ll know how it comes out.
